Blogs I Follow--This is my blogroll. Most are related to educational technology, but not all. If you click on the little orange RSS tab it will add the blog to your RSS reader. A very cool feature is the little button next to that (with the magnifying glass), that allows you to preview the most recent 3 posts from that site.
- Cool Cat Teacher Blog
The "guru" of all things ed-tech related. She is extremely active and provides excellent tips. If you only subscribe to one, this is the one!
- Free Technology for Teachers
Where I get most of my good stuff related to technology tools. Awesome collection. Another to add to your MUST have list.
- High Techpectations from Lucy Gray
She is an education technology specialist at the University of Chicago Center for Elementary Mathematics and Science Education.
- Huff English
"Issues, ideas, and discussion in English Education and Technology"
"Where teachers can stock their toolboxes with practical, time-saving classroom ideas and cutting edge methods of instruction."
Again, if you don't have a lot of time to spend reading blogs, make sure you at least subscribe to this one!
- Larry Ferlazzo
Amazing site, with a HUGE amount of resources.
- Moving At The Speed Of Creativity
Wesley Fryer's blog. "Moving at the Speed of Creativity is a site I use to digitally document my own journey of learning and collaborate with other educators and lifelong learners around the globe."
- Open Culture
"The best free cultural & educational media on the web."
- Seth's Blog
Seth Godin's blog. He's a pretty famous writer in the business world. I include his blog in my feeds because I find that a great deal of what he writes about applies to education as well.
- Sue Water's Blog
Another guru in the ed-tech world. Her site is chock-full of information. This is one of my go to places if I have a question about anything ed-tech related.
- Teacher Boot Camp
Another excellent blog. Shelly Terrell offers great tips and advice regarding educational technology. I like how she adds challenges to her posts.
- Teaching and Learning in the Digital Age
I like her philosophy regarding not using technology in the classroom just for the sake of using it. "I believe we should really focus on improving student outcomes in our decisions about the best ways to teach, and to prepare them for the world they may face when they leave school."
- Tech For Luddites
Again, not education specific, but awesome posts for beginner techies.
This is more like a newspaper (sort of). It has a huge amount of information regarding technology. I would suggest checking out the site rather than an RSS feed.
- Technology Tidbits
Another great blog that offers a great deal of advice regarding "tools".
- The Curious Creative
Teacher, across "the pond", who writes about educational technology and its uses in the classroom.
- The Edublogger
Sue Water's other site. Again, a plethora of information. A must for every educator's RSS reader.
