Box.net is a site that I learned about last year when my husband bought a netbook and was given a free subscription. Upon looking at the site and all it had to offer I quickly realized what a powerful tool it is.
At first my thought was to use it to “transport” documents from my home computer to my school computer and visa versa. However, once I really started playing around I saw how I could easily incorporate Box.net into my students lives.

One of the handiest programs I’ve used in a long time happens to be one of the programs I’ve had for a long time: Microsoft’s OneNote.
OneNote has been around for a couple of incarnations of MS Office. I remember seeing it as an option when I installed Office 2003 and thinking “sure, I’ll add it, maybe it’s cool.” I remember opening it and thinking that it was indeed cool, but I had no idea when I would use it. TED Talks are very commonly referred to and blogged about these days, so I won’ t bore anyone by simply reiterating what my colleagues have already posted.
What I would like to say about the TED videos is that I am finding them to be my number one go-to resource with students and adults, inside and outside of the classroom. I cannot think of another resource that has proven to be as versatile as the TED videos.

Rants After three five long days my new website is finally done. I can’t believe how complicated it has been just choosing a design and tweaking it to my specifications. And I didn’t even design it! I think I am far too picky. Thank goodness for all the wonderful people who post free Wordpress designs for all to use.
